Aging with Dignity
If we are very lucky, we all will become old people at some point along the way. This is not to say that being old is lucky in itself, but more that the journey to arrive there makes you very lucky, and typically much wiser for the wear. Aging with dignity and grace is something that everyone would like to do, so if you plan your own future before you reach a tender old age, chances are pretty good that you will be placing yourself in a better situation.
Take for example, the idea that you may not always be able to care for yourself. The one unifying symptom of age, is an inability to take care of yourself as fully as you did in your youth. There are old age homes, care homes, retirement villages and more – all of them designed to provide a safe, and care-centric place for the elderly to live in comfort. If you identify some of these long before you are looking for it as an answer, you will be in a better place to make a balanced decision.
If you have saved well in your youth, old age can be a fun, and rewarding time for sure. You can spend your life’s earnings by traveling the globe, seeing the things you have always wanted to see. If you were not as diligent in youth, and find yourself a bit more strapped for cash when you reach old age, praying might be a good hobby to adopt. There is always a quiet dignity suggested by taking a knee!
